Carrots are even tastier when they are made from cheese balls. Yum! Thank you, Jalei, and have a great weekend everyone!

Research fun occurred in the library today. We are working on research reports and one of our beginning steps is learning to do citations of our sources. Today we found sources from books and encyclopedias in our library. It takes a lot of work to do research the right way but we know it will pay off in the end. Also, just like our morning lesson, we know that finding and citing sources is a skill we will use for the rest of our lives. Yikes!
The periodic table is something that in my mind didn't show up in school until at least junior high. But here is proof that we are discussing the elements in fourth grade! Ask your student at home to share what they learned while also discussing with them what matter is! I think we can all agree these are complex topics, but it is exciting to see them introduced to the periodic table for the first time. I told them to be prepared... They will be seeing a lot of it as they get older!

Hooray for reading!!! Today we had student visitors from Chadron State College come to our classroom. They read us poems by Shel Silverstein and we got to ask them many questions about college life. I think we all had a wonderful learning experience and it makes us look forward to graduating from high school and going to college ourselves! Thank you Justy, Mohammed, and Ms. French for sharing time with us today!
